Pulse-Bac® Automatic Self-Cleaning Vacuum Control Technology
In vacuum and dust collection equipment not all vacuum systems are created equally. Conventional vacuum equipment relies on the user to stop working, shake a filter clear, trigger a compressor for blow back, push a button or simply stop and replace a filter to unclog the vacuum. Pulse-Bac Technology is fully automatic, no blowers, shakers, compressors or buttons to push. Turn it on and go to work. Pulse-Bac patented technology stops the filter from facing with debris and clogging during operation, keeping the user in compliance with regulations without giving up productivity and profits. CDCLarue vacuum systems are equipped with our exclusive Pulse-Bac Technology, the most advanced filter cleaning system in the world, capable of stopping the filter from facing with dust and debris and clogging during operation. This patented technology automatically flushes the filters clear of dust and debris during operation, using only ambient air and vacuum. In addition to our patented pulsing technology, all CDCLarue vacuums come standard with our exculsive Cyclonic Debris Management System. This innovative system works in unison with our Pulse-Bac Technology and prevents the dust and debris inside the tank from constantly cycling up to the filters. The CDM stops upwards of 90% of dust and debris from ever reaching the filter, while at the same time holding the dust and debris at the bottom of the tank. This innovative design is included in all CDCLarue vacuum tanks, extenders and pre-separators.
Our Filter Technology
All CDCLarue vacuums use HEPA filtration and are equipped with advanced patented twist on filters that are manufactured out of a continuous non-woven Spun Bond Polyester material with a P.T.F.E. coating. These patented filters are capable of capturing particles as small as .12 microns. The twist on/off design makes installing and replacing filters quick and easy. CDCLarue advanced filter media increases the life span of the filter and reduces filter replacement cost.
Why Horsepower and CFM don’t matter.
Stating the horsepower of a vacuums motor does not tell you all you need to know. The number may look impressive, but only goes to show how much power the vacuum motor is consuming, not how much of that power is becoming suction. That is why CDCLarue list Air Watts, which is an industry measure of motor efficiency. By using a more efficient motor, CDCLarue vacuums are able to provide a more consistent and powerful suction, while consuming less power. The vacuum motor’s horsepower only goes to inform you how much power is being drained out of the wall circuit. Competitors use the rating to boast of their vacuums power, but it means little to nothing when it comes to what really matters. SUCTION POWER!
The same can be said about the CFM rating. Vacuums with a high CFM rating look impressive, but they do not take into account what the CFM rating will be after 15 to 30 minutes of use. When the filter on a vacuum begins to face with debris the CFM rating will drop dramatically. Not so with Pulse-Bac® Technology, our CFM rating remains the same from start to finish. A Competitor’s vacuum may state a high CFM rating, but on average loses 30% of that rating in the first 15 to 30 minutes of use. That CFM rating will not improve unless the filters are cleared of dust and debris.
Need to collect a lot of debris or material in a solid, durable container? Our Drum Vacuums are designed to do just that. CDCLarue Drum Vacs use an extender that can be placed on top of any standard 55 or 40 gallon drum. Each extender is powder coated and made from 16 gauge cold rolled steel. Each extender includes our exclusive Cyclonic Debris Management System and can be fitted with any 1000 series vacuum head. Drum Vacs are available with a 2” or 3” inlet and come with your choice of vacuum head and filters; a 55 gallon powder coated steel tank and 1000 lb., five caster dolly. An optional tank sensor is available and can be used to detect when debris is at the top of drum.
500 series vacuums come standard with Pulse-Bac® Technology, our exclusive Cyclonic Debris Management System, and a one year limited warranty. A Tank Inspection Window and an optional Automatic Tool Start are also available. The 550H model is HEPA Certified and it meets and exceeds EPA and OSHA regulations when working with hazardous materials like Lead, Asbestos and Silica. CDCLarue 500 series vacuums can be used for general clean up of fine powders and debris, but are designed to collect, capture and control hazardous dust generated by hand held power tools and surface preparation equipment.
The 1000 series include HEPA and HEPA Certified vacuums with a fractional efficiency rating up to 99.99% at .3 microns, at CFM flow rates of 140 to 311.. 1000 series models come standard with Pulse-Bac® Technology, twist on/off HEPA filters, Cyclonic Debris Management System, a one year limited warranty and an optional Tank Capacity Sensor. The 1050H model features HEPA Certified filtration which meets and exceeds EPA and OSHA regulations. The 1000 series have two options for collecting dust and debris, a 20 gallon tank or a Bagger Cart. The Bagger Cart allows the user to fill the bag with debris, discard, remove and replace the bag without shutting off the vacuum and stopping production.

The PB-2150 model Industrial Vacuum is a HEPA rated vacuum system with a filter fractional efficiency rating of 98.0% @ .3 micron at CFM flow rates of 311. Each model comes with our patented Pulse-Bac® Technology, Cyclonic Debris Management System, Tank Capacity Sensor and patented twist on/off filters. The 2000 series are industrial grade vacuums that can be used for vacuuming fine non-combustible powders or as dedicated continuous operation dust collectors for manufacturing machinery and surface preparation equipment up to 60” in diameter. Model 2150 can be purchased in either single phase 220 volt or 110 volt configuration. The 2150 model uses a patented bagging system that is designed to allow for continuous operation. The patented design allows the user to fill the bag, remove, discard and replace it, without shutting off the vacuum and stopping production. The 2150 model is equipped with an industry first, a Tank Capacity Sensor. The TCS warns the user when the collection tank has filled with debris by flashing a LED light and sounding an audible alarm. If the user does not empty the collection tank in a timely manner, the TCS system will shut off the vacuum, preventing the tank from over filling. Once the tank is empty, power is restored. Capable of going through any standard 32” doorway and can fit into any standard freight elevator the 2150 is easy to get on to any job site and is equipped with non-marking casters and is powder coated to prevent rust.
2500 model Industrial Vacuum is a HEPA rated vacuum system with a filter fractional efficiency rating of 98.0% @ .3 micron at CFM flow rates of 622. The 2500 model comes with our patented Pulse-Bac® Technology, Cyclonic Debris Management System, Tank Capacity Sensor and patented twist on/off filters. The 2000 series are industrial grade vacuums that can be used for vacuuming fine non-combustible powders or as dedicated continuous operation dust collectors for manufacturing machinery and surface preparation equipment up to 60” in diameter. The 2500 model is available in 220v single phase power. The 2500 model works in a similar manner to the 2150 model, but instead of bagging the debris, it collects it in a metal box that is located below each of the two collection tanks. These metal boxes can be removed, emptied and replaced without turning off the vacuum or stopping production. The 2500 is equipped with an industry first, a Tank Capacity Sensor. The TCS warns the user when the collection tank has filled with debris by flashing a LED light and sounding an audible alarm. If the user does not empty the collection tank in a timely manner, the TCS system will shut off the vacuum, preventing the tank from over filling. Once the tank is empty, power is restored. The 2500 is capable of going through any standard 32” doorway and can fit into any standard freight elevator. Each model is equipped with non-marking casters and is powder coated to prevent rust.
Alpha series are inexpensive high quality commercial vacuums that can be used for everyday general clean up or as dust vacuums for hand held power tools. Alpha series vacuums come standard with CDCLarue patented twist on/off filters, capable of capturing dust particles as small as .012 microns and our exclusive Cyclonic Debris Management system. An optional automatic tool start is available on each Alpha series models. The CDCLarue CDM system prevents up to 90% of dust and debris from ever reaching the filter, holding dust and debris in the bottom of the tank until removed. Each Alpha series also comes with a one year limited warranty and use tangential by-pass vacuum motors. Alpha series has four models. Model number AC-450 and AC-465 are HEPA Certified models that meet and exceed EPA and OSHA regulations for vacuums used with hazardous materials like Lead, Asbestos and Silica. Model numbers AC-400 and AC-425 are Hepa H-13 rated and are capable of capturing 98.0% of dust particles as small as .3 micron at CFM flow rates of 120 to 140.
CDCLarue floor surfacing and polishing equipment covers more square feet in less time with less effort, maximizing comfort and increasing productivity. Our ergonomically designed floor surfacing equipment allows the user to grind or polish in an upright position, reducing fatigue, backaches, and jobsite injuries. CDCLarue floor surfacing equipment is ideal for grinding or polishing concrete, terrazzo, stone, and masonry or removing paint, thin set, adhesives, VCT, mastic and epoxy floor coatings. CDCLarue floor grinders are the only floor surfacing equipment with the patented Dust Grabber dust shroud. This shroud allows the grinder to float across the surface like a puck on ice, eliminating 100% of suction lock and capturing 99% of airborne dust. Our floor grinders come with a 2” dust port, 150 watt halogen light, non-marking casters, 6000 RPM or 3500 RPM polishing grinder and a one year warranty. CDCLarue has different types of abrasives to use with floor grinders from cup wheels for removing coatings or prepping concrete floors for a new application; to polishing rings for polishing concrete, stone and terrazzo. To achieve a dust free operation we strongly recommend using a Pulse-Bac® PB-1050 portable dust vacuum to capture the dust generated by the grinder. If using the grinder to remove paint from floors, a PB-1050H HEPA Certified dust vacuum is recommended.
DUST GRABBER – DUST SHROUD
Dust shrouds are used on angle grinders and other types of tools that are used to cut, grind or sand. Dust shrouds are a chamber around the abrasive and aid in capturing the dust generated by the tool, with the assistance of a vacuum. Most dust shrouds attempt to seal the shroud to the surface, but once you turn on the vacuum the shroud can become suction locked to the surface which can result in damage to the surface. CDCLarue’s patented Dust Grabber shroud eliminates 100% of suction lock, allowing the grinder to float across the surface like a puck on ice. The Dust Grabber is the only shroud that has a lifetime replacement warranty and uses a replaceable polymer seal. The seal creates a vortex of moving air all around the circumference of the shroud from top to bottom, eliminating 100% of suction lock and capturing 99% of dust. The polymer seal is designed to quickly be replaced when worn out and does not require the abrasive or steel shroud to be removed when replacing the seal. The easy to replace polymer seal cuts shroud replacement cost by 75%. Dust Grabber shrouds are designed to fit most name brand 7” and 4” angle grinders and help to prevent silicosis of the lungs, as well as prolong the life of your tools by preventing abrasive dust and debris from reaching the motors and gears.
